About
I’M JAY AKA WRONG DETAIL. I’VE BEEN WORKING IN THE CREATIVE INDUSTRY SINCE 2009 AS A GRAPHIC DESIGNER, BUT MORE RECENTLY, ILLUSTRATION HAS BECOME A BIG PART OF MY WORK. Over the years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with various brands and clients, helping to bring their visions to life through vibrant and engaging visual art. My journey has equipped me with a diverse skill set, allowing me to merge graphic design principles with illustrative techniques, resulting in a unique fusion of styles that resonates with audiences. I am passionate about storytelling through imagery, and I constantly seek inspiration from both the world around me and the innovative ideas of my peers in the creative community.

WRONG DETAIL
Wrong Detail was a name that happened organically. Before taking the big step to start freelancing, I’d enjoy creating passion projects of illustrations or graphics based around music, beer, and bones. A particular song had the lyric ‘The bones got the wrong detail,’ which mirrored what I was doing at the time. It made me realize that to create an illustration that’s individual didn’t need to be anatomically correct, but it was about the feel of the piece.

The end results speak for themselves, our customers adore the designs on our hop bags, glassware and even the complimentary beer mats we include with each order.””
